Personal Information - Collection and Use

In general, you can visit the NYSE Web site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.
Personally

The choice of whether to and how much personally identifiable information you provide to NYSE is left completely to you and is voluntary. There are times when we may need information from you, such as your name, mailing address or e-mail address. You will be asked to supply that information voluntarily. Some examples of when we may need information are if you choose to purchase a product or service directly from a NYSE Web site, if you use the “Contact Us” feature, to receive invoices from us by e-mail or to use the "Your Portfolio" personal stock tracker or to contact us about our website or services. In addition, we collect non-public personal information from applications or other forms that you submit to us, and from your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, and from consumer reporting agencies. Except when required to do so by law, we do not share any of the personal information you provide to us with any third party other than service providers of ours who assist us in providing the information and/or services we are providing to you and who need to know the information in order to verify or fulfill your transactions with us, in accordance with our agreements with those service providers, which agreements state that the service provider agrees to comply with our privacy standards as described in this privacy policy. We will not sell, rent, lend or give your personally identifiable information to or share it with any other company or third party agency, except as permitted or required by law.
NYSE maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your nonpublic, personally identifiable information. This includes, among other things, using encryption technology for credit card data used in e-commerce transactions. However, NYSE cannot guarantee that any information is totally secure because of the nature of the Internet. You acknowledge and agree that NYSE is not responsible for any use of personal information by websites you reach via a link on this Web site.
